Reddy for a Cure

“Reddy for a Cure” Campaign was kicked off in May of 2010 in memory of Eva Markvoort who passed away in late March this year. Eva made local and national news starring in an award-winning documentary 65_RedRoses. The story follows Eva and the people who have touched her most, as she waits for a double lung transplant.

The phrase ’65 Roses’ is a commonly used term among the CF community. The term came after a young boy overheard his mother explaining to a friend that her son had a disease called Cystic Fibrosis. The boy tried to pronounce Cystic Fibrosis and ended up saying 65 Roses. In honor of this history, the longest game for CF will surpass the previous record by 65 minutes.
