Thank you for your interest in the Longest Game 4 CF. This spectacular event is going to have 40 women play one continuous hockey game at 8 Rinks in Burnaby, BC, between Aug. 26th and Sept. 5th, 2011 – that’s more than 10 days! The players will not be allowed to leave the facility while the world record is being set so we are also going to need numerous volunteers to help make it a success.
We are doing all of this to help raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) and to raise money for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. CF is the most common, fatal genetic disease affecting Canadian children and young adults. For more information, click here.
We were hoping that Eva Markvoort, a beautiful young lady from New Westminster, could be the spokesperson for the event. Sadly she passed away in March 2010 from CF at the age of 25. Now we are playing to honour her, as well everyone who is living with CF. To learn a little bit about Eva and her struggle with CF as well as her amazing spirit, go to our video section.
