Laura McClenahan

Player Bio:

My name is Laura McClenahan and I love playing hockey. I took up hockey later in life, and have played ice hockey for about 12 years, but also enjoy floor hockey and ball hockey too. I love playing team sports and enjoy meeting people and learning new things every day. I teach elementary school in Vancouver and have worked with children of all ages. Their energy and enthusiasm is so inspiring.

I first heard about the longest game fundraiser from a teammate that is participating. I have been lucky enough to be healthy all my life. Skating and playing hockey while raising money is a dream come true and unbelievable opportunity.

Fundraising for cystic fibrosis is important to me. This disease affects everyone. It is more common than you think and it takes the lives of so many children and adults each year. Finding a cure for this diease has to happen. Children every day bravely fight this complex disease. If I can contribute in any way to ensure that a cure is found, I will.

Please donate your time, energy and funds to such a worthwhile cause.
