Player Bio:
I have been fortunate in that I have never known anybody with Cystic Fibrosis, so when teammate Val Skelly approached me and informed me of her mission to raise money and awareness of Cystic Fibrosis, I was hesitant – after all, committing to play hockey for 10 days non-stop is an enormous endeavour. So I went home and did some research on Cystic Fibrosis, including watching the documentary 65 Red Roses (a story of Eva Markvoort) and reading Eva’s blog, and my hesitation disappeared. Having learned about the struggles these people go through in their everyday lives, I just knew I had to be a part of this incredible project, so I signed up as a player immediately. Please help to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis with your donations, no amount is too small. Thank you.
