Player Bio:

When I saw the poster for this event I thought it was too good to be true. You see I have this friend Chris, who not only organizes my thrashing in our hockey pool every year, but also has CF. Back in 2007 Chris was the recipient of a couple of gorgeous looking lungs, and with his new found breath he decided to fulfill a lifelong ambition; to become an ice hockey player. Now let’s not kid ourselves they were like a bunch of 8 year olds out there flocking to the puck and bailing like Bambi. But with the help of copious amounts of practice, including the construction of his own backyard rink, Chris is now the guy you have to drag off the ice. And if I lived close by, I’d be right there with him. So now it’s my turn to get in the ice time, so that the next time I visit Ontario I can keep up. Keep in mind I’m no hockey player either, and I’m pretty sure I’m going for most improved player, but as long as we meet our goal of raising money and awareness, I will skating with a smile. I want to see people with CF outlive their parents in my lifetime, and I believe it is possible. Help make it happen by donating to my 243 hour hockey marathon.
