Volunteer Bio:

Growing up with 2 brothers in Vancouver, I was surrounded by hockey. When I was 7, I watched my brother play as a goalie and was inspired to be just like him. At that time, I thought it would be funny if I was one of the first women to play in the NHL. But I was told that I was already too old to start training and preparing to be a professional hockey player. After hearing that, I made it my ultimate goal to play professional hockey and to change the world’s perception on what is the “appropriate” age to start children in sports.

I didn’t really have the opportunity to play until last summer when my brother gave me a set of goalie gear for keeps. And as I heard about The Longest Game 4 CF, from friends and family, I viewed it as a challenge and accepted it. I know there will be many more challenges to come on this road to break the mould. However, by participating in The Longest Game, together we will prove that there is nothing women can’t do.

Thank you for supporting a great cause!
