Player Bio:
I have a passion for hockey, and a love of sport and how it unites people together. I’ve been a goaltender for 18 years now, playing at both a recreational and highly competitive skill levels. Hockey has been a passion of mine for many years, and as the Director of Marketing for the Abbotsford Heat hockey team (AHL), I truly have made hockey the focal point of my entire existence and love every minute of it. Like they say, goalies are a bit ‘off’ and I am no different, loving nothing more than taking pucks to the head if it means my team wins the game. Hockey has brought me many lifelong friendships and exciting memories, and for that, I am forever grateful to the sport.
When I was first approached to support the Longest Game 4 CF, I openly admit, I knew very little about Cystic Fibrosis. I truly had no idea what a horrible, life threatening disease it really is and collectively we have to work to find a cure. I am learning more and more about CF as the days pass. After meeting so many people whose lives are adversely affected by this disease, my contributions to this event are the least I can do to help, not only on the committee, but as a player in the game. I have my health, and while playing hockey for 10 days straight is no simple task, it’s a breeze compared to living with CF.
Additionally, I am excited to see the hype building as the game quickly approaches, and am truly honoured to be a part of such a worthy event and cause. Serving as a player in the Longest Game 4 CF is allowing me to combine my passions for hockey and for helping others in need. Please support me in our quest of achieving our unified goal and make a donation today. No matter how much you are able to afford, every small amount counts. A cure must be found for Cystic Fibrosis. Please be a part of making CF stand for cure found and donate today.
